Krasl Art Center Class Trip

Art Appreciation students from Lake Michigan College took a trip to the Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph to view the current Stop Motion Animation exhibition by Indiana native artist Joe Baughman. After viewing Baughman’s work, they created simple stop motion animations in Krasl’s studios.

Beginning Art students at Bridgman High School learned perspective and shading techniques in pencil drawing and created a variety of projects including a perspective drawing and a portrait.

Artwork in the Community

Sophomore Cooper Stewart won 2nd place in the Congressional Art Competition for Michigan's District 5 with his digital photograph titled, "A Wintry Walk."

This is a nationally acclaimed art competition with a winner and runner-up from each US district across the country. The winner's artwork is displayed in the Capitol building in Washington DC. As the runner-up, Cooper met with Congressman Walberg and his artwork is on display in the Niles district office, 92 E. Main St.
