This project is currently ongoing. In 2026, I developed a community mural opportunity for the Bridgman High School Art Club in partnership with the Baroda Lake Township Police Department. The project began with planning during the 2025–26 school year and brought students together to create a large-scale public artwork for the police department. Students designed and painted the mural themselves with my guidance. The mural incorporates imagery connected to the local community, including the police department, Lake Michigan, fishing, and the department’s bee mascot. The police department funded the painting materials and worked with students throughout the installation. As the art club advisor, I developed and coordinated the project, guided students through the design and painting process, and helped facilitate the partnership between the school and the community. The project gives students an opportunity to collaborate on a professional-scale public artwork while experiencing the process of bringing their own ideas into a shared community space.
